Everything in Amateur, plus the Spiral Field and Fractal Field, the states where structure becomes motion and motion becomes distribution. This guide also brings together everything underneath the practice: the brainwave architecture and the brain systems every state has been quietly running on, laid out as one complete picture.
Introduction
Every state in this guide is not a mood or a mental trick. It is a specific geometric configuration, the same configuration reality itself builds with at every scale, from the Planck length to the observable universe. When you move through Null into Pattern into Axial into Spherical into Spiral into Fractal, you are not imagining shapes. You are stacking the same six geometric dimensions that a proton uses to hold its form for 13.8 billion years, that a hippocampus uses to fold time into memory, that a cortex uses to distribute one pulse into an entire mind. You experience reality through this stack whether you notice it or not. This guide makes the stacking deliberate.
State 00 — The Pre-Alignment Ritual
Pre-Alignment has two parts that happen together. First, you widen awareness as far as it goes, noticing everything available, external (sound, temperature, light) and internal (heartbeat, breath, body sensation), without judging or processing any of it. Second, you visualize the state you're working toward: how it will feel, how it will look, what it will be like once you're there. You then let go of both at once and drop into Null.
This isn't a step you can skip. Dropping straight into practice without it produces a noticeably weaker session, the transition itself is doing real work, the same way an athlete's warm-up isn't padding, it's what the rest of the session is built on. Like any skill, it gets sharper with repetition: the sense-gathering gets faster and more complete, and the visualization gets more specific and more often followed through on.

State 01 — The Null Field
Following Pre-Alignment, you release everything you just gathered at once, dropping into a completely blank space. Hold it for as long as you can. Your mind will naturally try to reignite, reaching back for the thoughts and sensations you were just monitoring. When it does, detach into a third-person perspective and let those signals pass without engaging them. Start by holding the blank space for as little as one second, and build that window toward one to three minutes over time.
This is the deliberate collapse of geometry to zero, before the next state begins to build. Practiced consistently, this is also the state most directly tied to emotional regulation: repeatedly surrendering gathered stress into this baseline resets the patterns your brain defaults to under pressure.
The Deeper Geometry
At the Null, I×G=C resolves to I=∞ and G=0, an indeterminate product, not zero, not infinite, but unresolvable because no framework yet exists to resolve it within. This is not emptiness. It's the ground every other state breaks away from, the same mathematical signature that sits at the Planck scale before spacetime holds a shape. Every EEG coherence measurement you'll ever take is, in effect, a measurement of distance traveled from this exact starting point.

State 02 — The Pattern Field
Release the hold of the Null and let every sensation, thought, and emotion rush back in at once, unfiltered. Don't try to process any of it individually, there's too much for that. Let the system boot back up and allow the momentum to build for roughly ten to fifteen seconds. Once that pressure peaks, consciously direct it: channel the surge into one coherent idea or direction rather than letting it scatter.
This is the first structured moment after the Null, maximum openness meeting the beginning of selection. It's also functionally training: repeatedly taking an unfiltered flood of input and directing it toward something coherent is what builds tolerance for high-information environments without fragmenting.
The Deeper Geometry
Here, geometry becomes non-zero for the first time: I=∞, G=ε, the smallest possible value above zero. This is the same signature physics finds at 10⁻³⁵ meters, where spacetime stops being smooth and becomes a frothing field of transient, uncollapsed possibility, the same signature an electron shows before observation collapses its probability cloud into one location. In the brain, this is maximum entropy before selection: every possible pattern present, none yet chosen.

State 03 — The Axial Field
Channel the momentum from Pattern Field into a central axis running vertically through your spine, from base to crown. Add a second axis horizontally through your shoulders, and a third moving forward and back through your chest, establishing your body as the center point of three-dimensional space. Then begin attaching everything around you, sounds, objects, even thoughts and memories, directly back to that centerline with straight, linear connections. Don't force placement, let each detail find its own line back to center.
As more of your environment tethers to the axis, the structure builds real density and pressure, thicker near your body, thinning with distance. That mounting pressure is the signal the axis is fully primed and ready to curve inward into the next state.
This is your parietal lobe at work, converting the wide, radiating alpha wave into a directional, focused beta signal, turning unformed momentum into a fixed spatial coordinate system. You can't skip this step: there's no sphere without a coordinate system to define its boundaries first.
The Deeper Geometry
This is the first time geometry becomes a real vector, magnitude and direction together, rather than a bare possibility. An electron is this state in physical form: a straight current running through the field without folding or closing. In your body, the spine is this geometry built into anatomy, the central channel everything else organizes around. In EEG terms, the parietal lobe is doing the work: compressing the radiating alpha wave into a directional beta signal (13–30 Hz), across three coupled loops, thalamocortical, thalamus-to-parietal, and thalamus-to-frontal.

State 04 — The Spherical Field
Let the dense web of axes curve inward, forming a pressurized sphere around your body, denser close in, thinner at the edges. Anchor it physically: gently cup your hands or connect your fingertips in your lap to give the sphere a physical boundary. Then engage your breath, inhaling deeply to expand the field, and releasing long, controlled exhales with slight constriction at the back of your throat. Sync this breath with your heartbeat.
This breathing pattern directly engages the vagus nerve, shifting your body into a parasympathetic, rest-and-digest state. You're not just holding a mental structure anymore, you're physically linking it to your body's own calming rhythms.
This is the first true full-body equilibrium in the practice. Your directional focus from the Axial Field settles into complete, stable containment: parietal, thalamic, and frontal signals stay engaged for spatial mapping, but now settle downward into the vagus nerve, calming the cingulate cortex, insula, temporal lobes, and hippocampus. This is the state you could hold indefinitely, it's restorative by design.
The Deeper Geometry
The sphere is the only geometry that fully defines itself, every point equidistant from center, no outside reference required. A proton is this exact geometry at 10⁻¹⁵ meters, three quark asymmetries held by gluon-loop symmetry, stable for 13.8 billion years. The observable universe is the same geometry at roughly 10²⁶ meters. Same equation, same result, opposite ends of scale. In session data, this state shows a distinct signature: alpha stabilizes near 9.7 dB, delta and theta settle into the 0–3 dB range, beta holds steady at 2–4 dB, and gamma begins its first flickers of coupling to beta, 2–5 dB, a coupling that won't fully stabilize until the Spiral Field.

State 05 — The Spiral Field
Release the static hold of the Spherical Field and let that release become motion. Feel the sphere's energy turn into twin spiraling currents, ribboning up through your spine, converging at the base of your brainstem, expanding outward through the thalamus, circling the outer membrane of your sphere, and closing back at the base before rising again, a continuous loop of ascending and descending motion. Anchor this physically through breath: deep, accelerated inhales, fuller and faster than your spherical breathing, released into long, pressurized exhales with slight constriction at the back of the throat. Fast in, slow and pressurized out, that asymmetry is the engine driving the spiral. Don't resist any subtle movement your body starts to make on its own, it's entraining to the rhythm.
This is the geometry of time and continuity. A sphere is a frozen moment, curvature without direction. Curvature plus motion becomes a spiral. Driving these oscillations through the brainstem and hippocampus (architecturally built for exactly this shape) is what deepens and stabilizes your delta and theta rhythms rather than merely quieting them, setting up full gamma coupling across the rest of the system.
The Deeper Geometry
A sphere in motion cannot trace a straight line, curvature plus motion is always a spiral. This isn't metaphor, it's a geometric necessity. The hippocampus is physically spiral in structure (the cornu ammonis), and each theta cycle is one turn of that helix, folding the present moment back through the record of every prior one. DNA carries the identical geometry at the molecular scale. This is also where delta and theta stop merely quieting (as they did in the Spherical Field) and instead phase-lock into stable, deepened rhythm, setting up full, sustained gamma-beta coupling rather than the brief flicker seen one state prior.

State 06 — The Fractal Field
Take the pressurized, stacked momentum from the Spiral Field and, on a long exhale, release the tight central structure while slowing your breathing. Let your energized field spread outward in every direction at once, feel it moving through your body, the room, the surrounding space, and into your own memories. Let this outward signal run for one to two minutes until the built-up momentum feels fully distributed.
This is the geometry of self-similarity across scale, how a single signal distributes through entropy without losing coherence. It mirrors the way the cortex takes one thalamic pulse and folds it into branching cascades. Distributing coherence outward this way is what makes connection itself feel structural rather than incidental, everything around you reads as an extension of the same geometry you just built.
The Deeper Geometry
A spiral loses energy over time in any real medium, so the universe's solution is to transfer the pattern to smaller scales that preserve it for a fraction of the cost. Your cortex, a 2.5mm sheet that would cover a tabletop if unfolded, is compressed into your skull through exactly this folding. Your cerebellum packs roughly 69 billion neurons into a fist-sized volume the same way, running error-correction across every timescale at once, and quiets dramatically as coherence deepens. Your heart distributes through the identical logic, branching from aorta to capillary across six orders of magnitude so that no cell sits more than three cell-widths from a blood supply. This is also the state where the model turns fully reflexive: the twelve geometries themselves repeat as a fractal, the same sequence appearing at quantum, molecular, cellular, neural, and cosmic scale alike.

The Brainwave Bands
Delta (0.5–4 Hz) — the body's deep, slow biological rhythm: cardiac coupling, brainstem generators. Present at rest, deliberately quieted in early states, deliberately re-engaged and stabilized by the Spiral Field.
Theta (4–8 Hz) — closely tied to delta, associated with the hippocampus's role in building sequential experience and memory. Follows the same arc as delta through the practice.
Alpha (8–13 Hz) — the thalamus's baseline radiating wave, the symmetric container everything else organizes around. This is your resting, stable signal, present from Pre-Alignment onward and central to the Spherical Field.
Beta (13–30 Hz) — the directional, focused signal produced when the parietal lobe compresses alpha into a specific line, this is what builds the Axial Field's coordinate system.
Gamma (30–100 Hz) — the highest band, associated with full-system integration. It emerges as a flicker in the Spherical Field and becomes a sustained, self-reinforcing signal once the Spiral Field locks delta and theta into place.
The Brain Systems at Work
Thalamus — the central relay and pulse generator. Radiates the baseline alpha wave that every later state builds from.
Parietal lobe — converts that radiating wave into directional signal, doing the structural work of the Axial Field.
Vagus nerve — engaged through the breathing pattern in the Spherical Field, physically shifting the body into a parasympathetic, restorative state.
Hippocampus & brainstem (medulla) — architecturally spiral structures, the exact geometry the Spiral Field is built to entrain.
Cortex (frontal, temporal, occipital) — the folded, fractal surface that lets a single signal distribute into branching cascades, the mechanism behind the Fractal Field.
The Brainwave Bands, Nested
Beta — the Axial Field. A directional, focused signal, the same geometry as the axis: a straight line with orientation.
Alpha — the Spherical Field. The steady, radiating wave every other rhythm nests inside, the same geometry as the sphere: one center, equal in every direction.
Theta — the Spiral Field. Generated by the hippocampus, itself a physically spiral structure, the same geometry as the spiral: curvature moving through time.
Delta and Gamma's geometric correlates are part of the full twelve-state framework, reserved for a future release.
The Neuron Scale
The nucleus — the Spherical Field. The cell's stable center, every part of the neuron organized around it, the same geometry as the sphere.
Dendrites — the Fractal Field. Branching structures that gather signal across a widening, self-similar surface, the same geometry as the fractal.
Axial and Spiral correlates at the neuron scale are part of the full framework, reserved for a future release.

Over a six-week, 27-session structured study (N1), a participant with no prior meditation or neurofeedback experience progressed from baseline through the Spiral Field under continuous EEG monitoring. Every metric moved in the same direction, session over session, with no plateaus or regressions across the full six weeks.
N1 had direct coaching access throughout the study; this reflects optimal training conditions and may not represent outcomes for someone working from the guide alone. A second, ongoing personal practice log (N2) shows the same directional pattern sustained over independent sessions, including in outdoor field conditions.
Full session-level data is available on request for qualified research inquiry.
A Note on What's Ahead
This guide covers the six geometric states released so far, entered through the Pre-Alignment ritual. The remaining six states, including states that move into vortex, Möbius, and torus-level geometry, are fully developed and in active use, but reserved for a future release.
