Every state in this guide is a specific visuospatial anchor designed to incrementally increase cognitive load and shift cortical synchrony. The progression—from open awareness to bounded containment, through oscillatory motion and branching distribution—follows a structured logic of increasing perceptual and working-memory demand. You experience this progression directly, whether you're tracking the metrics or not. This guide makes the sequence deliberate.
The Twelve States
The Havell Model maps twelve fundamental geometric states of consciousness, entered through a preparatory Pre-Alignment ritual. This first release covers the first six states, the Null Field through the Fractal Field, across the Introductory, Beginner, Amateur, and Expert guides. The remaining six states exist and have been mapped, but are reserved for a future release.

State 00 — Pre-Alignment
Pre-Alignment has two parts that happen together. First, you widen awareness as far as it goes, noticing everything available, external (sound, temperature, light) and internal (heartbeat, breath, body sensation), without judging or processing any of it. Second, you visualize the state you're working toward: how it will feel, how it will look, what it will be like once you're there. You then let go of both at once and drop into Null.
This isn't a step you can skip. Dropping straight into practice without it produces a noticeably weaker session, the transition itself is doing real work, the same way an athlete's warm-up isn't padding, it's what the rest of the session is built on. Like any skill, it gets sharper with repetition: the sense-gathering gets faster and more complete, and the intention-setting gets more specific and more often followed through on.
What's Next
The next state, the Null Field, along with the Pattern Field, is unlocked in the Beginner guide.
